Old West Days

Old West Days and ElkFest are Jackson Hole’s tribute to our Western Heritage and Community Culture. It’s more than just a tribute though, it’s a time to celebrate it and experience it!

The festival kicks off on May 17th weekend with ElkFest, Teton Powwow, and the High Noon Chili Cook-off in downtown Jackson Hole.  The Best of the West Parade, Old West Brewfest, and Million Dollar Music Fest round out the festival on Memorial Day weekend.  The Mountain Man Rendezvous celebrates the rich history and tradition of the Rocky Mountain fur trade over the entire 10 days of the festival at the Teton County Fairgrounds.

Enjoy ales from breweries all over the Mountain West and sample bowls of chili made by high-end restaurants, as well as the Boy Scouts. And….vote for your favorites! Observe the Teton Powwow where indigenous knowledge keepers will share their rich culture, traditions, dance, and history. Tip your hats to Teton County Fair’s Rodeo Royalty in the The Best of the West Parade. Bid on elk antlers that were gathered by our very own boy scouts and more.
