Nothing indicates summer is on its way more than these iconic May events. From live music to Western heritage, there is something for everyone during the month of May!
Old West Days
May 15th – 25th
Old West Days and ElkFest are Jackson Hole’s tribute to our Western Heritage and Community Culture. It’s more than just a tribute though, it’s a time to celebrate it and experience it!
The festival kicks off the weekend of May 15th with ElkFest and the High Noon Chili Cook-off in downtown Jackson Hole. The Best of the West Parade, Old West Brewfest, and Million Dollar Music Fest round out the festival on Memorial Day weekend. The Mountain Man Rendezvous celebrates the rich history and tradition of the Rocky Mountain fur trade over the entire 10 days of the festival at the Teton County Fairgrounds.
Enjoy ales from breweries all over the Mountain West and sample bowls of chili made by high-end restaurants, as well as the Boy Scouts. And….vote for your favorites! Observe the Teton Powwow where indigenous knowledge keepers will share their rich culture, traditions, dance, and history. Tip your hats to Teton County Fair’s Rodeo Royalty in the The Best of the West Parade. Bid on elk antlers that were gathered by our very own boy scouts and more.
Jackson Hole Restaurant Week
May 15 – 22, 2026
Experience the best restaurants in the West during Jackson Hole Restaurant Week.
25 restaurants throughout town and Teton Village will offer their signature dishes in special discounted prix fixe menus all week long. Multi-course meals will be offered at the following price points, and will represent a discount of about 15%. Restaurants will offer at least one Prix Fixe Menu Deal.

Elkfest
May 16, 2026
Every spring, thousands of elk wintering on the National Elk Refuge lose their antlers before they migrate to their summer range. The Boy Scouts assist the Refuge with harvesting the shed antlers and auction them to bidders from around the world who make furniture, wall decorations, jewelry and food products from them. This annual event, which includes the High Noon Chili Cook-Off and the Mountain Man Rendezvous kick-off, supports the National Elk Refuge with a large portion of auction proceeds going back to habitat enhancement projects on the Refuge.
Come see the world’s best collection of elk antler and bid in the world famous Elkfest Elk Antler Auction. Private antler, paddles, horns, and more for sale on the streets surrounding Town Square from 8am – 3pm. The world-famous Elk Antler Auction open for registration at 8am and the auction begins at 10am.
Million Dollar Music Fest
May 24, 2026
Million Dollar Music Fest returns to Jackson Hole, Wyoming on Sunday, May 24, 2026, bringing a free live country music concert to the historic Town Square. Presented by The Cowboy Bar, this annual event is one of the top summer kick-off celebrations in Jackson Hole, attracting thousands of locals and visitors each year.
The 2026 lineup features Hudson Westbrook, Avery Anna, and Neal McCoy. Hudson Westbrook, one of country music’s fastest-rising artists, will make his Jackson Hole debut following his #1 hit “House Again.” Avery Anna returns after her breakout performance in Jackson, and Neal McCoy brings his legendary catalog of hits and high-energy stage presence.
FREE OUTDOOR CONCERT! Gates will officially open at 4:00 p.m. for this rain-or-shine concert event. The show is free to the public.
The weekend begins with the Million Dollar Music Fest Kick-Off Show on Friday, May 22, 2026, featuring Lonestar at The Cowboy Bar. Known for their multiple #1 hits, Lonestar remains one of country music’s most recognizable bands. Tickets for the Kick-Off Show and a limited number of VIP concert passes will be available starting April 29, 2026.
Jackson Hole Rodeo
Begins May 23rd and runs through August 29th
Experience the authentic wild west at the historic Jackson Hole Rodeo – a part of Jackson’s cowboy culture since the first settlers arrived over 100 years ago.
The Jackson Hole Rodeo is held at the Teton County Fairgrounds in downtown Jackson Hole and starts at 8pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and select Fridays through Labor Day.
