US Highway 191

Starting in Arizona and stretching all the way to the Canadian border, US Highway 191 meanders north of Jackson Hole, offering numerous breathtaking scenic stops, such as Glacier Lookout, Schwabacher Landing, and the Snake River Overlook.

Schwabacher Landing is a short hike from a parking area just off Highway 191. When the wind is still, the pond mirrors the majestic central Teton Range, encompassed by spruce and cottonwood trees. At dusk and dawn, you might catch a glimpse of beavers diligently reinforcing their dam along the Snake River.

The Snake River Overlook also provides a classic, awe-inspiring view of the Teton Range and the winding Snake River, making it a must-see on this picturesque route.

Kelly Loop

Start your drive at the Gros Ventre Junction, just 6.5 miles north of Jackson. In the summertime, this passage reveals its enchanting allure as the Gros Ventre River gracefully flows alongside the road. Keep an eye out for a bison crossing the road along with the occasional moose, deer, and elk. The scenic 16-mile loop will also lead past the historic Mormon Row and the frequently photographed Moulton Barn, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Moose-Wilson Road

Open during the summer months, the Moose-Wilson Road gracefully winds through the forest between Moose, Wyoming and Wilson, Wyoming. The 7.7-mile drive takes you through the charming Teton Village and ample opportunities to see Moose enjoying a late afternoon snack. This drive features serene vistas, rushing streams and canopies of trees, perfect for a leisurely roam through the forest. This scenic road provides a peaceful and idyllic experience, perfect for those seeking a relaxed journey amidst the great outdoors.

Signal Mountain

The summit of Signal Mountain has impressive panoramic views of Jackson Hole and the Teton Range. Signal Mountain Road, which diverges from Teton Park Road, guides you along a 5-mile stretch of scenic switchbacks to the top. A brief hike from the summit parking area leads to a stunning overlook, offering optimal valley views.

Teton Pass

Teton Pass serves as a gorgeous passage between Jackson Hole and the town of Victor in the Teton Valley of eastern Idaho, offering incredible views of the surrounding mountain landscape. From Jackson, embark on Highway 22 towards Wilson, Wyoming, where the pass starts. Depending on traffic, this scenic journey typically spans 2-3 hours.
